Privacy matters because Redovar handles information
that people and organizations rely on to do their work.
We collect and use information when we need it to
provide Redovar, keep it secure, support our customers,
improve the service, fulfill orders, or meet our legal
obligations.
This Privacy Policy explains how Redovar (“Redovar,”
“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when
you use our websites, the Redovar app, Redovar Staff,
Redovar Devices, ordering, support, and other Redovar
services that link to this Policy. Together, we call
these the “Services.”
When an organization uses Redovar to manage its staff,
schedules, communications, devices, or other work
information, that organization decides what information
it puts into Redovar and how it is used. Redovar
processes that information to provide the Services. If
you use Redovar through an organization, some requests
about your information may need to be handled by that
organization.
For privacy questions or requests, contact
legal@redovar.com
.
Information we collect
The information Redovar collects depends on how you use
the Services.
Account information
When you create or use a Redovar account, we may collect
your name, email address, phone number if you provide
one, organization, role, access level, account
preferences, and information related to your sign-ins
and sessions.
Passwords are handled through our authentication system
and are not stored by Redovar as readable text.
Staff credentials work differently from account
passwords. Staff IDs may be stored as identifiers.
Staff PINs are protected using one-way hashing after
they are created and are not kept in readable form for
later retrieval.
Organization and staff information
Organizations may add information about the people who
work with them, including names, profile photos, Staff IDs,
roles, Departments, Teams, Programs, Units, Cabins,
assignments, access levels, and other information needed
to set up and use Redovar.
Organizations may also create or upload schedules,
activities, Sites, Locations, maps, announcements, requests,
Emergency information, acknowledgements, device
assignments, and records of changes made within Redovar.
The organization decides what information it enters
into the service and who within that organization may
access it.
Camper and care information
A Camp may use Redovar to manage Camper names,
birthdays, arrival and departure dates, Cabin, Unit,
Program, Specialty Program, dietary restrictions, and
responsible-Staff assignments. A Camp may also provide
guardian and emergency contacts, allergies, medications,
medication schedules, care instructions, and private
notes when it chooses to use those features.
Guardian, emergency-contact, allergy, medication, and
private care information is kept separate from the
general Camper directory. Redovar uses the Camp's roles,
permissions, Department access, and active responsibility
assignments to limit who may retrieve that information.
A Business workspace does not receive Camper or
Camper-care features.
Redovar may use a Camper's birthday and active
assignments to send a birthday reminder to responsible
Staff and Camp leadership. Medication and meal-related
allergy and dietary reminders are sent only to people
selected by the Camp's assignments and permissions.
Notification records identify the event and recipient
without placing medical details in broad analytics or
general audit metadata.
Messages and media
When people communicate through Redovar, we may process
the information needed to provide those features. This
can include direct and group messages, voice messages,
attachments, call information, requests, Emergency
images, maps, and related delivery or acknowledgement
information.
We do not use private organization communications to
build advertising profiles.
Device information
A Redovar Device may provide information needed to
manage, secure, support, and troubleshoot the device.
This may include its Redovar Device ID, manufacturer
serial number, model, Android version, device-management
identifier, enrollment status, Redovar app version,
battery level, connectivity state, last check-in, last
sync, assignment, security state, and technical logs.
Some of this information may come from Redovar itself
and some may come from a device-management provider used
to administer Redovar hardware.
Location information
When device-location features are enabled and available,
Redovar may process the current or last known location
of a Redovar Device.
Device location may be precise. If a device is assigned
to a particular staff member, its location may also
indicate where that person is.
We use device location for purposes such as finding a
Redovar Device, helping recover a lost device,
supporting device management, and protecting Redovar
hardware. We do not sell device-location information or
use it for advertising.
Access to device location is limited according to
Redovar permissions and the organization’s
configuration.
Orders and billing
When you buy Redovar Devices or subscribe to Redovar
software, we may collect your organization name, contact
information, billing details, shipping address, order
contents, device quantity, plan, order status, invoices,
shipment information, and payment status.
Payment credentials are processed by Stripe or another
payment provider. Redovar does not receive or store your
full payment-card number. We may receive limited payment
information such as card brand, last four digits,
expiration date, payment status, and transaction
references.
Support, Contact, and Demo requests
If you contact us, request support, or ask for a demo,
we collect the information you provide. This may include
your name, email address, phone number, organization,
message, device interest, support details, and any other
information you choose to include.
Please do not send passwords, PINs, payment credentials,
or other sensitive information that we do not need to
help you.
Website and technical information
When you use a Redovar website or application, we may
receive technical information such as your IP address,
browser or device type, operating system, pages or
features used, request logs, error information, session
information, and security events.
We use this information to keep Redovar working,
understand problems, protect the Services, and improve
reliability.
Where information comes from
Most information comes directly from you or from the
organization that uses Redovar.
We may also receive information from Redovar Devices,
the Redovar applications, authorized users within your
organization, payment processors, shipping providers,
authentication providers, device-management providers,
support systems, and other companies we use to provide
the Services.
When one organization member adds information about
another person, such as a staff assignment or schedule,
that information comes from the organization rather than
directly from the person it describes.
How we use information
We use personal information to provide and operate
Redovar. That includes creating accounts, authenticating
users, managing access, delivering schedules and
announcements, providing messaging and requests,
managing Redovar Devices, processing Emergency
acknowledgements, and keeping information available to
the people who are permitted to use it.
We also use information to process orders and
subscriptions, ship hardware, issue invoices or refunds,
provide customer support, respond to questions, maintain
account and device history, and communicate about the
Services.
Technical and security information helps us identify
errors, prevent misuse, protect accounts and devices,
investigate incidents, maintain audit records, and
understand whether Redovar is working as expected.
We may use service and usage information to improve
Redovar. We do not use private organization content to
target advertising to staff or customers.
We may also process information when necessary to comply
with law, enforce our agreements, resolve disputes,
protect Redovar or others, or respond to lawful
requests.
Information managed by your organization
When an organization uses Redovar for its own staff and
operations, that organization controls the information
it chooses to put into Redovar.
This may include staff records and profile photos,
Departments, Teams, Sites, Locations, schedules,
assignments, messages, requests, Emergency information,
device assignments, and other organization-specific
information.
For a Camp, this may also include Camper rosters,
assignments, guardian and emergency contacts,
allergies, dietary restrictions, medications, care
instructions, and related reminders. The Camp is
responsible for deciding whether to use these features,
what information to enter, and which authorized people
should receive access.
Because Camper records may describe children and health
needs, a Camp should provide only information it is
authorized to use, keep assignments and permissions
current, and remove access when a person's
responsibility ends.
Redovar processes that information so the organization
can use the Services.
The organization also decides which people receive
Owner, Director, Leadership, Staff, or other permitted
levels of access. Redovar uses those permissions to
determine what a person may view or change.
If you are using Redovar through an organization and
want to access, correct, or delete information that
organization controls, you may need to contact the
organization first. If you contact Redovar directly, we
may refer the request to the organization or work with
it to respond.
Messages, media, and Emergency information
Redovar includes features that allow people within an
organization to communicate and share information.
Messages and voice messages may be stored so they can be
delivered and accessed by the people included in the
conversation. Delivery information may also be stored so
Redovar can show whether a message was sent, delivered,
read, or failed.
Maps, attachments, Emergency images, and other private
files are stored with access controls intended to keep
them available only to people who are permitted to use
them.
Redovar may keep technical records about calls or Walkie
activity when needed to operate those features, such as
participants, channel access, timing, connection state,
or delivery status.
Redovar does not record the contents of live Walkie
conversations or live calls as a normal part of
providing those features unless a future feature clearly
tells users otherwise before recording begins.
Redovar Devices and location
Redovar Devices are managed hardware. Information about
a device may be collected throughout its use so Redovar
and the organization that owns it can understand whether
the device is ready, assigned, connected, secure, or in
need of support.
A device may report its Redovar identity, model,
operating-system version, app version, battery level,
last check-in, last sync, connectivity state,
assignment, and other information needed to manage it.
Where available and enabled, location information may be
used to find or recover a Redovar Device, investigate a
missing device, or support the organization’s management
of its hardware.
Redovar Device location is designed around management
and recovery of organization-owned hardware. It is not
used by Redovar for advertising.
A device may continue to show a previous location when
it is offline or cannot obtain a new location. Redovar
may therefore show the time associated with a location
so users can tell whether it is current.
Cookies and analytics
Redovar may use cookies and similar technologies needed
for sign-in, security, account continuity, preferences,
and other basic functions of the Services.
We may also use analytics to understand how our websites
and products are performing and where problems occur.
Where optional analytics or similar technologies
require a choice or consent, we provide the controls
required by applicable law.
We do not sell personal information. We also do not
share personal information with unrelated companies so
they can target advertising to you across their
services.
Where required by law, Redovar will recognize supported
browser-based privacy signals, such as Global Privacy
Control, for rights that apply to those signals.
California currently requires covered businesses to
honor qualifying opt-out preference signals for sale or
sharing.
When we share information
We share information only when there is a reason
connected to providing Redovar, operating our business,
following the law, or carrying out something you or your
organization requested.
Within your organization
Information may be available to other authorized people
in the same organization according to their Redovar
access and the way the organization has configured the
service.
Companies that help us provide Redovar
We use service providers for functions such as hosting,
authentication, storage, payments, shipping,
communications, device management, monitoring, and
support. They may process information on our behalf to
perform those services.
At your direction
We may share information when you or your organization
asks us to connect Redovar to another service or
otherwise instructs us to provide information to someone
else.
For legal or safety reasons
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe
disclosure is required by law or necessary to respond to
valid legal process, protect rights or safety,
investigate fraud or abuse, or protect Redovar and its
users.
If Redovar changes ownership
Information may be transferred as part of a merger,
acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets,
or similar business transaction. Any new owner would
remain responsible for handling personal information
under applicable law.
Redovar does not sell personal information.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended
to protect personal information against unauthorized
access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Those measures include account authentication, access
controls, encrypted network connections, restricted
storage, one-way hashing for Staff PINs, protected
server credentials, logging, and separation of
organization data.
Access to customer information by Redovar personnel
should be limited to people who need it for their work.
Sensitive administrative actions may be restricted,
recorded, or require additional authorization.
No service can guarantee absolute security. If we learn
of a security incident involving personal information,
we will investigate it and provide notice when required
by law.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as it is
reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was
collected.
Account and organization information is generally kept
while the account or customer relationship remains
active. Some information may be kept afterward when
necessary for billing, taxes, orders, legal obligations,
security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, audit
history, or enforcement of our agreements.
Messages, files, device information, and operational
records may have different retention periods depending
on the feature and the organization’s use of Redovar.
When information is deleted, copies may remain for a
limited period in backups or systems designed for
recovery and security. Those copies are not returned to
normal use and are removed through the normal backup
lifecycle unless we are legally required to preserve
them.
We may retain information that has been aggregated or
deidentified so that it can no longer reasonably
identify a person.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and how Redovar is being
used, you may have the right to ask for access to
personal information about you, correct inaccurate
information, request deletion, receive a copy of certain
information, restrict or object to certain uses, or
withdraw consent where consent is the basis for
processing.
You may submit a privacy request by contacting
legal@redovar.com
.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a
request. If the information is controlled by an
organization that uses Redovar, we may also need to work
with that organization.
You may also use an authorized agent where applicable
law allows it. We may ask for information needed to
confirm that the agent has authority to act for you.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising a
privacy right provided by applicable law.
Some rights have exceptions. For example, we may need to
retain certain information to complete a transaction,
protect security, maintain required records, comply with
law, or establish or defend legal claims.
U.S. state privacy rights
Privacy laws in California and a growing number of other
U.S. states give eligible residents additional rights
over their personal information.
Depending on the law that applies, these rights may
include access, correction, deletion, portability, and
the ability to opt out of certain uses of personal
information.
Redovar does not sell personal information.
Redovar does not share personal information for
cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for
targeted advertising across unrelated services.
Some information Redovar may process, such as account
credentials or precise device location, can be treated
as sensitive personal information under certain state
laws. Redovar uses this information only for purposes
connected to providing, securing, administering, and
supporting the Services or as otherwise permitted by
law.
California residents can find additional
category-by-category information and instructions for
exercising California rights in our California Privacy
Notice. Current California rules require covered
privacy policies to describe a business’s information
practices and applicable consumer rights.
International privacy rights
People in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom,
Switzerland, and other jurisdictions may have additional
privacy rights.
Where Redovar is responsible for deciding why personal
information is processed, we may process information
because it is needed to provide a contract, comply with
a legal obligation, protect our legitimate interests, or
because you gave consent.
Where an organization controls information about its own
staff or operations, that organization generally
determines the legal basis for processing and Redovar
processes the information on its behalf.
Personal information may be processed in the United
States and in other countries where Redovar or its
service providers operate. Privacy laws in those
countries may differ from those where you live. Where
required, we use safeguards recognized by applicable
law for international transfers.
Eligible individuals may have rights to access, correct,
erase, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy
of personal information. They may also have the right to
complain to the data-protection authority in their
country.
European privacy rules require notices to explain
matters such as why information is used, the legal
basis, retention, recipients, international transfers,
and individual rights.
Children and minors
Redovar is built for organizations and the people who
work with them. It is not designed for children under 13
to create accounts or use Redovar independently.
Organizations may employ or work with staff members who
are minors. The organization is responsible for making
sure it has the authority required to provide and use
information about those individuals.
Camps may also use Redovar to manage Camper information
provided by authorized adults and Camp administrators.
Campers do not create Redovar accounts through this
workflow. The Camp is responsible for the notices,
permissions, consents, and access decisions required for
the Camper information it chooses to provide.
Organizations should not use Redovar to collect personal
information directly from children under 13 unless they
have determined that doing so is lawful and have
satisfied any consent or notice requirements that apply.
If we learn that Redovar has collected personal
information directly from a child under 13 in
circumstances where the law requires parental consent
and that consent was not obtained, we will take
appropriate steps to remove the information.
COPPA applies to online services directed to children
under 13 and to general-audience services that have
actual knowledge they are collecting personal
information online directly from a child under 13.
Changes to this Policy
This policy may change over time.
We may update this Privacy Policy as Redovar, our
products, and the laws that apply to us change.
When we make a change, we will update the date shown at
the top of this page. If a change materially affects how
we handle personal information, we will provide
additional notice when required.
This Notice explains the additional privacy rights
available under California law and how they apply
to information Redovar handles.
This California Privacy Notice supplements the Redovar
Privacy Policy and applies to personal information
about California residents.
It explains the categories of personal information
Redovar may collect, where that information comes
from, why we use it, when it may be disclosed, and
the rights available under California privacy law.
The information Redovar handles depends on how you
interact with us. You may use Redovar through an
organization, buy Redovar hardware, communicate with
us, request support or a demo, visit our websites, or
use a Redovar Device. Not every category described
below will apply to every person.
For more about how Redovar handles personal
information generally, read our Privacy Policy.
For California privacy questions or requests, contact
legal@redovar.com
.
Information covered by this Notice
California law defines personal information broadly.
It generally includes information that identifies,
relates to, describes, can reasonably be associated
with, or could reasonably be linked to a person or
household.
Redovar may handle personal information when someone
creates or uses an account, works with an organization
that uses Redovar, uses a Redovar Device, communicates
through Redovar, buys hardware or software, contacts
support, requests a demo, visits a Redovar website, or
otherwise interacts with us.
Some information used by an organization may be
provided to Redovar by that organization rather than
directly by the person it describes. For example, an
organization may add a staff member, assign a role,
create a schedule, assign a Redovar Device, or send an
announcement.
When an organization controls information about its
own staff or work, Redovar generally processes that
information to provide the service to that
organization.
Personal information we collect
The categories below describe personal information
Redovar may collect or process. The exact information
depends on how Redovar is used.
Identifiers
This may include a name, email address, phone number,
IP address, account identifier, Staff ID, Redovar
Device ID, manufacturer serial number, authentication
records, and other identifiers connected to an
account, organization, person, or device.
Customer and account information
This may include contact information, organization
information, role, access level, account settings,
shipping address, billing information, subscription
details, and records associated with the customer
relationship.
Commercial information
This may include Redovar Devices purchased,
subscription plans, device capacity, order history,
invoices, refunds, shipment information, payment
status, and other records related to Redovar
purchases.
Redovar does not receive or store full payment-card
numbers when payments are processed by Stripe or
another payment provider.
Internet and electronic activity
This may include browser or device type, operating
system, IP address, pages or features used, app
activity needed to operate the service, request logs,
error information, sign-in activity, session
information, security events, connectivity state, and
similar technical information.
Geolocation information
Where device-location features are enabled and
available, Redovar may receive the current or last
known location of a Redovar Device.
A location may be precise. Because a Redovar Device
may be assigned to a person, device location may also
indicate where that person is at a particular time.
Redovar uses this information for device management,
recovery, security, and support rather than
advertising.
Professional or work information
This may include an organization, role, title,
Programs, Units, Cabins, work assignments, schedules,
access levels, and other information related to a
person’s work with an organization that uses Redovar.
Communications and media
This may include messages, voice messages,
attachments, support messages, call information,
Walkie-related technical records, maps, requests,
Emergency information, Emergency images,
acknowledgements, and other information people
communicate or upload through Redovar.
Device information
This may include a Redovar Device ID, serial number,
model, Android version, MDM identifier, enrollment
status, app version, battery level, last check-in,
last sync, connectivity state, assignment, security
state, last known location, and technical information
needed to manage the device.
Inferences
Redovar may make limited conclusions from information
already in the service when needed to provide a
feature or understand product use. For example,
Redovar may determine that a device appears offline
because it has not checked in within an expected
period.
We do not build advertising profiles from private
organization information.
Sensitive personal information
California law treats certain information as
sensitive personal information.
Depending on how Redovar is used, information we
process may include information that falls within that
definition, such as account credentials, precise
geolocation, Camper allergy or medication information,
or the contents of certain private communications.
We use sensitive personal information only when
reasonably needed to provide, secure, maintain,
administer, or support Redovar, fulfill a request,
protect a device or account, comply with law, or for
other purposes permitted by California law.
We do not use sensitive personal information to build
advertising profiles or infer unrelated personal
characteristics.
Redovar does not sell sensitive personal information.
Where California law gives a right to limit the use
or disclosure of sensitive personal information
because a business uses it beyond specified permitted
purposes, the business must provide the required
method for exercising that right. Redovar does not
currently use sensitive personal information for
those additional purposes. If that changes, we will
provide the choices required by law.
Where information comes from
Most personal information Redovar receives comes
directly from you or from the organization through
which you use Redovar.
We may also receive information from other authorized
people within your organization, Redovar applications,
Redovar Devices, authentication providers, payment
processors, shipping providers, device-management
providers, hosting and storage providers, support
systems, security tools, and other companies that help
us provide Redovar.
For example, a director may create a staff record or
assignment. A Redovar Device may report its last
check-in or battery level. Stripe may tell us whether
an invoice was paid. A device-management provider may
provide the technical identity or management state of
a Redovar Device.
We use information from these sources only for the
purposes described in this Notice and our Privacy
Policy.
Why we use information
We use personal information to provide Redovar and
carry out the work people and organizations ask us to
perform.
That includes creating and securing accounts,
authenticating users, managing permissions, providing
schedules and announcements, delivering
communications, processing requests, managing Redovar
Devices, supporting Emergency features, maintaining
audit history, and keeping information available to
the people who are allowed to use it.
We use order and billing information to sell and ship
Redovar Devices, maintain subscriptions, issue
invoices and refunds, support customers, and keep
appropriate business and accounting records.
We use technical, security, and device information to
keep Redovar working, identify errors, understand
device status, protect accounts and hardware, prevent
misuse, investigate security incidents, and provide
support.
We may also use information to improve Redovar,
enforce our agreements, resolve disputes, protect
Redovar or other people, and meet legal obligations.
We do not use private organization content for
targeted advertising.
When we disclose information
Redovar does not disclose personal information simply
because another company wants access to it.
We disclose information when it is needed to provide
Redovar, carry out something requested by you or your
organization, operate our business, or meet a legal
obligation.
Within your organization
Information may be available to other authorized
people within the same organization according to the
organization’s settings and Redovar permissions.
For example, a director may be able to view staff
assignments or device status that a staff member
cannot.
Service providers and contractors
We use companies that help us operate Redovar.
Depending on the service, these companies may provide
hosting, storage, authentication, payment processing,
shipping, communications, monitoring, security,
device management, customer support, or similar
functions.
They may process personal information on our behalf
to provide those services.
At your direction
We may disclose information when you or your
organization asks us to connect Redovar with another
service, send information to another person, fulfill
an order, or otherwise instruct us to do so.
Legal and safety matters
We may disclose information when we reasonably
believe it is required by law, needed to respond to
valid legal process, necessary to investigate fraud
or misuse, or appropriate to protect Redovar, our
customers, our users, or other people.
Business transactions
If Redovar is involved in a merger, acquisition,
financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar
transaction, personal information may be transferred
as part of that transaction.
Any transfer remains subject to applicable privacy
law.
Sale and sharing
Redovar does not sell personal information.
Redovar also does not share personal information for
cross-context behavioral advertising.
In the preceding 12 months, Redovar has not sold
personal information or shared personal information
for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Because Redovar does not currently engage in those
activities, there is presently nothing to opt out of
with respect to sale or cross-context behavioral
advertising.
California recognizes qualifying browser-based
opt-out preference signals, including signals such as
Global Privacy Control, as a way to communicate
certain opt-out choices to covered businesses. If
Redovar engages in an activity for which such a
signal creates an applicable opt-out right, we will
recognize qualifying signals as required by law.
Redovar does not knowingly sell or share the personal
information of people under 16.
Your California privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies and subject to
permitted exceptions, California residents may have
the following rights.
Know
You may ask us to tell you what categories of personal
information we have collected about you, where it came
from, why we collected or used it, the categories of
parties to whom it was disclosed, and other
information required by law.
Access
You may ask for the specific pieces of personal
information we maintain about you, subject to
applicable limitations.
Delete
You may ask us to delete personal information we
collected about you.
Some information may need to be retained. For example,
we may need information to complete a transaction,
provide a service, protect security, keep legally
required records, resolve disputes, or establish or
defend legal claims.
Correct
You may ask us to correct inaccurate personal
information that we maintain about you.
Opt out of sale or sharing
California residents have a right to opt out when a
covered business sells personal information or shares
it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Redovar does neither today.
Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information
California law may give residents the right to limit
certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal
information.
As explained above, Redovar currently uses sensitive
personal information only for the purposes described
in this Notice and other purposes permitted without
providing a separate right-to-limit mechanism.
Non-discrimination
We will not discriminate against you because you
exercised a privacy right provided by California law.
Exercising a privacy right will not cause Redovar to
charge you an unlawful different price, deny a service
unlawfully, or provide a different level of service
in circumstances where California law prohibits doing
so.
How to submit a request
To submit a California privacy request, contact:
legal@redovar.com
Use the subject:
California privacy request
Tell us which right you want to exercise and provide
enough information for us to understand the request.
If your request concerns information held through an
organization that uses Redovar, please include the
organization when possible.
You may also use any privacy-request form or Your
Privacy Choices control that Redovar makes available
for the type of request you are submitting.
We will respond within the time required by applicable
law.
California generally requires covered businesses to
confirm receipt of requests to know, delete, or
correct within 10 business days and to provide a
substantive response within 45 calendar days, subject
to permitted extensions.
How we verify requests
Before providing, correcting, or deleting certain
personal information, we may need to verify that the
request comes from the person the information belongs
to or from someone authorized to act for that person.
The information we request for verification will
depend on the request and the information involved.
We will not ask for more information than reasonably
necessary to verify the request.
If we cannot verify a request to the level required by
law, we may be unable to complete all or part of it.
If that happens, we will explain the reason where
required.
If the information is controlled by an organization
that uses Redovar, we may need to coordinate with
that organization before completing the request.
Authorized agents
A California resident may use an authorized agent to
submit a privacy request where California law allows
it.
We may ask the agent for proof that the resident gave
the agent permission to act on their behalf.
We may also ask the resident to verify their identity
directly with Redovar or confirm that they gave the
agent permission, unless the law provides otherwise.
We use these steps to protect personal information
from requests made by someone who does not have
authority to receive or change it.
Children under 16
Redovar is built for organizations and the people who
work with them. It is not designed as a consumer
service for children.
Redovar does not knowingly sell or share the personal
information of people under 16.
Organizations may employ or work with staff members
who are minors. Those organizations are responsible
for making sure they have the authority required to
provide and use information about those individuals.
Camps may provide Camper records through an authorized
adult or administrator. Campers do not independently
create Redovar accounts through that workflow. The
Camp remains responsible for the authority, notices,
permissions, and access decisions required for those
records.
Our broader practices concerning children and minors
are described in the Redovar Privacy Policy.
Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as it is
reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was
collected or for another lawful purpose.
How long information is kept depends on what the
information is and why Redovar has it.
Account and organization information may be kept while
an account or customer relationship remains active.
Order, billing, tax, and transaction records may be
kept for the period required for accounting, legal,
fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes.
Messages, files, device information, support records,
security events, and audit history may have different
retention periods based on the feature, customer
relationship, security needs, legal requirements, and
the organization’s use of Redovar.
Backups may retain deleted information for a limited
period as part of normal security and recovery
processes. Information in those backups is not
returned to ordinary use unless recovery is
necessary.
We may retain information that has been deidentified
or aggregated so that it can no longer reasonably
identify a person.
Financial incentives
Redovar does not currently offer payments, discounts,
rewards, or other financial incentives in exchange
for collecting, selling, or sharing personal
information.
If Redovar introduces a program that is treated as a
financial incentive under California privacy law, we
will provide the required notice before someone joins
that program.
Changes to this Notice
This notice may change over time.
We may update this California Privacy Notice as
Redovar, our products, our privacy practices, or
California law changes.
When we update it, we will change the effective date
shown at the top of the page.
If a change materially affects how we handle personal
information, we will provide additional notice when
required.
How Redovar protects your information
Redovar is built to hold information that organizations
rely on every day. That includes accounts, staff
information, schedules, messages, Device information,
and other records customers choose to keep in Redovar.
Some of that information can be private or sensitive.
We treat it accordingly.
This document explains how Redovar protects customer
information, how access is controlled, how Redovar
Devices are managed, and what customers are responsible
for on their side.
Security is shared. Redovar protects the systems we
operate. Customers control who they give access to, what
permissions those people receive, and what information
they place in Redovar.
For security questions or concerns, contact
security@redovar.com
.
Security at Redovar
Redovar uses a combination of account controls,
permissions, encrypted connections, protected
credentials, organization separation, logging, Device
management, monitoring, and backups to protect the
service and the information stored in it.
These protections are reviewed as Redovar changes and
as new risks are identified.
We do not treat security as a separate feature added
after a product is built. It is part of how Redovar
accounts, Devices, permissions, and information are
handled.
Access control
People should only see the information they are allowed
to see.
Redovar uses organization membership, roles,
permissions, and assignments to control access
throughout the service.
An organization may give different levels of access to
Owners, Directors, Leadership, Staff, and other
available roles. Those permissions determine what each
person can view, change, or manage.
Access to sensitive settings and administrative actions
may be limited to people with the appropriate
permissions.
Some actions may also require additional verification
when Redovar determines that it is necessary to protect
the account or organization.
Accounts and credentials
Redovar uses authentication controls to protect
customer accounts and managed Devices from unauthorized
access.
Passwords are handled through Redovar’s authentication
system and are not stored by Redovar as readable
passwords.
Staff IDs may be stored as account identifiers. Staff
PINs are protected using one-way hashing after they are
created and are not kept in readable form for later
retrieval.
If Redovar believes an account or credential may have
been compromised, we may require a password reset, end
active sessions, request additional verification, or
take another reasonable step to protect the account.
Customers are responsible for keeping their credentials
private and for removing access when someone should no
longer have it.
Encryption
Redovar uses encrypted connections when information
moves between supported Redovar websites, applications,
Devices, and Redovar infrastructure.
Information stored by Redovar is also protected through
the storage and infrastructure controls used by the
systems that operate the service.
The protections used can differ depending on the system
and the type of information involved.
Customers should never send passwords, Staff PINs,
payment credentials, or other unnecessary secrets
through general messages or support conversations.
Keeping organizations separate
Each Redovar organization has its own customer
environment.
Redovar uses organization membership, account
permissions, and access rules to prevent one customer
from accessing another customer’s information.
A person should not gain access to another organization
simply because both organizations use Redovar.
Access is tied to the organization and permissions
associated with the signed-in account.
Redovar Device security
Redovar Devices are managed Devices designed to operate
within a customer’s Redovar environment.
A Device may be enrolled in a supported
device-management service so Redovar can manage
software, security settings, configuration, access, and
Device status.
Depending on the Device and its configuration, Redovar
may be able to:
-
Install or update Redovar software.
-
Apply Device policies.
-
Restrict unauthorized apps or settings.
-
Check Device status.
-
Disable access.
-
Release or reset a Device.
-
Assist with recovery.
-
Perform other supported administrative actions.
Customers should not remove or interfere with Redovar
software, security controls, or device-management
settings unless Redovar has authorized the change.
Changing those controls may affect the security or
operation of the Device.
Device location
Some Redovar Devices may support location information.
When location is enabled and available, Redovar may
process a Device’s current or last known location for
Device management, recovery, security, support, or
administration.
Who can view Device location depends on the permissions
and configuration of the organization.
Redovar does not use Redovar Device location to build
advertising profiles or sell location information to
advertisers.
Logs and account history
Redovar keeps certain records needed to operate and
protect the service.
These records may include:
-
Sign-in activity.
-
Security events.
-
Administrative actions.
-
Important account changes.
-
Device status.
-
Device activity.
-
Message delivery information.
-
Changes to important records.
-
Service errors.
-
Other events needed to operate or investigate Redovar.
Logs help Redovar understand what happened when
something goes wrong, investigate suspicious activity,
support customers, and maintain the service.
Access to these records is limited to people and systems
that need them for an authorized purpose.
Redovar personnel
Redovar personnel do not receive unrestricted access to
customer information simply because they work for
Redovar.
Access should be limited to what a person needs to do
their job.
This may include helping a customer, investigating a
security issue, resolving a service problem, operating
Redovar, meeting a legal requirement, or performing
another authorized function.
Sensitive administrative access may be limited further
and may be logged or subject to additional controls.
Customer information should not be accessed out of
curiosity or for unrelated purposes.
Service providers
Redovar uses other companies to provide parts of the
service.
Depending on the service, these providers may help with:
-
Hosting.
-
Data storage.
-
Authentication.
-
Communications.
-
Payments.
-
Monitoring.
-
Device management.
-
Shipping.
-
Customer support.
Redovar chooses providers based on the services the
company needs and expects providers handling Redovar
information to protect it appropriately.
A provider should only receive the access needed to
perform the service it provides.
Using a service provider does not give that company
ownership of Redovar customer information.
Monitoring
Redovar may monitor systems, applications, Devices,
errors, and security events to keep the service working
and to identify problems.
This can include detecting failed sign-in attempts,
unusual activity, Device problems, service interruptions,
misuse, or other activity that may need investigation.
Monitoring is used to operate and protect Redovar.
It is not used to turn private customer activity into
advertising profiles.
Backups and recovery
Redovar may maintain backups so information and services
can be restored after a failure, mistake, security
incident, or other disruption.
A backup may keep a copy of information for a limited
period after that information is removed from normal use.
Backup information is not restored to ordinary use
unless recovery is necessary.
It is removed according to the backup system’s normal
lifecycle unless Redovar is required to preserve it for
a longer period.
Security incidents
If Redovar discovers or reasonably suspects a security
incident, we may investigate what happened and take
steps to protect affected systems and customers.
That may include restricting access, ending sessions,
securing credentials, preserving relevant records,
correcting the underlying problem, or taking other steps
needed to contain the incident.
We may also review what happened afterward and make
changes intended to reduce the chance of the same issue
happening again.
If an incident requires customer or regulatory notice
under applicable law or an agreement with the customer,
Redovar will provide that notice as required.
Customers should contact Redovar promptly if they
believe an account, credential, Redovar Device, or
customer environment has been lost, stolen, compromised,
or used without permission.
Customer responsibilities
Redovar protects the systems we operate, but customers
control many of the decisions that determine who can
access their information.
Customers are responsible for:
-
Choosing who receives a Redovar account.
-
Giving each person appropriate permissions.
-
Protecting account credentials and Staff PINs.
-
Removing access when it is no longer needed.
-
Managing their Redovar Devices.
-
Reviewing important assignments and organization
settings.
-
Protecting Devices from unauthorized physical access.
-
Keeping information entered into Redovar accurate and
appropriate.
-
Reporting lost, stolen, or compromised Devices and
accounts promptly.
Customers should avoid placing passwords, payment
credentials, or unrelated sensitive information into
messages, support cases, or general text fields.
Redovar can provide account and security controls, but
those controls still need to be used responsibly.
Privacy questions
Security and privacy are related, but they are not the
same thing.
This document explains how Redovar protects systems and
customer information.
Questions about personal information, privacy rights,
retention, disclosure, or Redovar’s Privacy Statement
should be directed to:
legal@redovar.com
Changes to this document
Redovar may update this document as the service, our
security practices, and the technology behind Redovar
change.
When an update materially changes how we describe the
protection of customer information, we may update the
effective date or provide additional notice where
appropriate.
The current version will remain available through
Redovar’s legal and security resources.
These Terms apply whenever you access or use Redovar
and set out the responsibilities that come with that
use.
These Terms of Service apply when you access or use
Redovar, including the Redovar app, Redovar Staff,
Redovar Devices, our websites, ordering, support, and
other services that link to these Terms. Together, we
call these the “Services.”
If you use Redovar for an organization, you are also
agreeing to these Terms on behalf of that organization
if you have authority to do so.
Some customers may also have a Customer Agreement,
order, or other written agreement with Redovar. If one
of those agreements conflicts with these Terms, the
written agreement will control for the subject it
covers.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the
Services.
Questions about these Terms may be sent to
legal@redovar.com
.
Using Redovar
You may use Redovar only if you can legally enter into
these Terms and are permitted to use the Services
under the laws that apply to you.
If you are using Redovar for a company, organization,
school, camp, or other group, you represent that you
have permission to act for that organization where
that permission is required.
The organization is responsible for deciding who may
use its Redovar account and what level of access each
person receives.
You are responsible for using Redovar in accordance
with these Terms and any agreement between Redovar and
your organization.
Accounts and access
Some parts of Redovar require an account.
Directors and other authorized account users may sign
in using an email address and password or another
authentication method Redovar supports.
Staff access may use an Organization Code, Staff ID,
PIN, or other credentials provided through Redovar.
Keep your account credentials private. Do not share a
password or PIN with someone who is not authorized to
use it.
If you believe an account, credential, or Redovar
Device has been lost, stolen, or used without
permission, tell your organization or Redovar as soon
as possible.
An organization may change or remove a person’s access
at any time.
Redovar may also require a password reset, session
reset, additional verification, or another security
step when we reasonably believe it is necessary to
protect an account or the Services.
Organizations and staff
Organizations control the people they add to Redovar
and the access those people receive.
An organization may add staff members, assign roles,
create Programs, Units, Cabins, Locations, schedules,
device assignments, and other information needed for
its work.
The organization is responsible for making sure that
the information it provides is accurate enough for its
intended use and that it has the right to provide that
information to Redovar.
The organization is also responsible for deciding
which people receive Owner, Director, Leadership,
Staff, or other available levels of access.
Redovar uses those permissions to determine what each
person may view or change.
A Camp may add Campers and connect them to Units,
Cabins, Programs, Specialty Programs, and responsible
Staff. Camps and Businesses may create Departments and
Sites; a Business may also create Teams and connect
Staff to one or more Teams. The Customer must keep
those relationships reasonably current because Redovar
may use them to select recipients for schedules,
announcements, reminders, requests, and other
operational updates.
Redovar Devices
Redovar Devices are organization-managed hardware
intended to run Redovar.
A Redovar Device may be configured, enrolled, updated,
restricted, located, assigned, released, disabled, or
otherwise managed through Redovar and the
device-management services we use.
Organizations are responsible for keeping their
Redovar Devices reasonably secure and for making sure
they are used only by authorized people.
Do not remove or interfere with security settings,
device-management controls, Redovar software, or other
protections placed on a Redovar Device unless Redovar
has specifically authorized you to do so.
A device may be assigned to one staff member and later
released or reassigned to another authorized person.
Hardware support, replacement, and the expected
support life of Redovar hardware may also be covered
by our Product Lifetime Policy, warranty terms,
Customer Agreement, or order.
Acceptable use
Use Redovar only for lawful purposes.
Do not use the Services to:
-
access another organization’s information without
permission;
-
get around authentication, access controls, or
device restrictions;
-
interfere with Redovar or try to make the Services
unavailable to others;
-
probe, scan, or test Redovar for vulnerabilities
without written permission;
-
upload or send content that is unlawful or that you
do not have the right to use;
-
use Redovar to harass, threaten, deceive, or harm
another person;
-
impersonate another person or misrepresent your
authority;
-
introduce malware or harmful code;
-
misuse Redovar communications, Emergency features,
requests, or device controls;
-
copy, modify, decompile, or reverse engineer Redovar
except where applicable law expressly permits it;
-
use the Services in a way that violates the rights
of Redovar, another organization, or another person.
We may investigate suspected misuse and take steps
reasonably necessary to protect Redovar, our
customers, and other people.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Redovar handles
personal information.
Our California Privacy Notice provides additional
information for California residents.
If an organization uses Redovar to manage information
about its own staff or operations, that organization
may also have responsibilities under privacy,
employment, or other laws that apply to it.
Redovar’s Privacy Policy does not replace those
responsibilities.
Orders and payments
Some Redovar Services require payment.
Prices, device quantities, subscription terms,
shipping charges, taxes, and other order details will
be shown before purchase or described in the
applicable order or Customer Agreement.
Hardware purchases and software subscriptions are
separate charges unless we clearly state otherwise.
When you place an order, you agree to provide accurate
billing, shipping, and contact information.
Payments may be processed through Stripe or another
payment provider.
Subscriptions renew according to the terms shown when
you purchase them or in the applicable Customer
Agreement.
If a payment fails or becomes overdue, Redovar may
retry the payment, contact the customer, restrict paid
Services, or take another action allowed by the
applicable agreement and law.
Refunds, cancellations, replacements, subscription
changes, and device returns are governed by the terms
that apply to the particular purchase.
Emergency and safety use
Redovar includes features that can help organizations
communicate during urgent or emergency situations.
Those features are tools for the organization. They do
not replace emergency services, 911, law enforcement,
medical care, required radios, professional judgment,
staff supervision, or an organization’s own emergency
procedures.
Do not rely on Redovar as the only way to communicate
during an emergency.
Internet access, Wi-Fi, device power, hardware
failure, software failure, or other conditions may
delay or prevent a message or alert from being
delivered.
Organizations remain responsible for their own safety
plans, emergency procedures, staff training,
supervision, and decisions.
When emergency services are needed, contact them
directly.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Redovar available and working
properly, but we cannot promise that the Services will
always be available without interruption.
Redovar may be affected by maintenance, internet or
Wi-Fi problems, power loss, device conditions,
third-party service failures, software errors,
security events, or circumstances outside our
control.
Some Redovar features are designed to continue working
with limited connectivity, but offline use has limits.
New information or changes may not appear until the
device reconnects.
We may add, change, replace, or remove features as
Redovar develops.
When a change materially affects a paid service or
when notice is required by law or an agreement, we
will provide the notice required in those
circumstances.
Other services Redovar relies on
Redovar uses other companies to provide parts of the
Services.
These may include companies that provide hosting,
authentication, storage, payments, shipping,
communications, device management, monitoring, and
other infrastructure.
Those services may occasionally be unavailable or
change in ways that affect Redovar.
We are responsible for the commitments we make to you,
but we cannot guarantee that every outside service
will operate without interruption.
Some optional integrations may also have their own
terms or privacy policies.
Redovar ownership
Redovar owns or licenses the software, designs,
branding, documentation, technology, and other
materials that make up the Services.
Using Redovar does not transfer ownership of those
materials to you.
As long as you comply with these Terms and any
applicable Customer Agreement, Redovar gives you a
limited right to use the Services for their intended
purpose.
You may not use the Redovar name, logo, trademarks, or
other brand materials in a way that suggests
endorsement, partnership, or permission that Redovar
has not given.
These Terms do not change your ownership of
information that you or your organization provide to
Redovar.
Feedback
We welcome ideas and feedback about Redovar.
If you voluntarily send us a suggestion, idea,
improvement, or other feedback, you allow Redovar to
use it without restriction or payment to you.
This does not give Redovar ownership of customer data
or other material that you submit for a different
purpose.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Redovar at any time.
Subscriptions, hardware orders, cancellation rights,
outstanding amounts, and data-handling obligations may
continue according to the Customer Agreement, order,
or other terms that apply.
Redovar may restrict or suspend access when reasonably
necessary to:
-
protect an account, organization, device, or the
Services;
-
investigate suspected misuse or fraud;
-
respond to a security issue;
-
comply with law or valid legal process;
-
address a serious violation of these Terms;
-
respond to nonpayment where suspension is
permitted.
Where practical and appropriate, we will try to give
notice before suspending access.
We may terminate access when required by law, when an
agreement ends, or when continued access would create
a serious security, legal, or operational risk.
Ending access does not erase obligations that arose
before termination, including amounts already owed.
Warranties and responsibility
We work to provide Redovar carefully and reliably.
However, technology cannot be guaranteed to work
perfectly at all times.
To the extent permitted by law, the Services are
provided “as is” and “as available.” Redovar does not
guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation,
or that every feature will work in every environment
or on every network.
Nothing in these Terms removes a warranty or right
that cannot legally be excluded.
Any separate written hardware warranty or Customer
Agreement may provide additional commitments. Those
commitments remain governed by that document.
Limits on liability
Where a Customer Agreement contains limits on
liability, those terms control for the matters covered
by that agreement.
Where no separate agreement applies, Redovar will not
be responsible for indirect, incidental, special,
exemplary, or consequential damages, lost profits,
lost revenue, lost business opportunities, or loss of
data to the extent applicable law allows those limits.
Redovar is not responsible for losses caused solely by
circumstances outside our reasonable control,
including failures of internet access, customer
networks, power, third-party providers, unauthorized
customer actions, or use of Redovar in a way these
Terms do not permit.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot
legally be limited.
Changes to these Terms
These terms may change over time.
We may update these Terms as Redovar, our products, or
the laws that apply to us change.
When we make a change, we will update the effective
date shown at the top of this page.
If a change materially affects your rights or use of
the Services, we will provide additional notice when
required.
Your continued use of Redovar after updated Terms take
effect means the updated Terms apply to your continued
use, except where applicable law requires another form
of agreement.
This Agreement sets the terms for an organization’s
paid use of Redovar software and devices.
This Customer Agreement applies when an organization
purchases or uses Redovar software, Redovar Devices,
or related services under an order with Redovar.
The organization named in the order is the “Customer.”
Redovar and the Customer are each a “party” and
together are the “parties.”
An order may be completed through Redovar checkout,
accepted electronically, or signed separately. Each
accepted order becomes part of this Agreement.
If an order contains terms that conflict with this
Agreement, the order controls for the subject it
specifically addresses.
Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply
where relevant. If there is a conflict between this
Agreement and the Terms of Service, this Agreement
controls for the Customer’s paid use of Redovar.
The person accepting an order or this Agreement for
the Customer confirms that they have authority to do
so.
Questions about this Agreement may be sent to
legal@redovar.com
.
Orders
Each order describes what the Customer is purchasing
from Redovar.
An order may include:
- Redovar Devices;
- software subscription;
- active-device capacity;
- price;
- subscription term;
- shipping charges;
- taxes;
- delivery information;
- billing information;
- special commercial terms; and
-
other products or services agreed between Redovar
and the Customer.
The Customer is responsible for reviewing an order
before accepting it.
Once accepted, the order becomes part of this
Agreement.
A hardware order does not by itself mean that specific
physical Redovar Devices have already been assigned to
the Customer. Redovar may allocate and provision the
physical devices as part of fulfillment.
Redovar software
During an active subscription, Redovar gives the
Customer a limited right to use the Redovar software
for the Customer’s own internal work.
That right is non-exclusive and may not be transferred
to another organization unless Redovar agrees in
writing.
The Customer may allow its authorized people to use
Redovar according to the access available through the
product.
The Customer may not resell, sublicense, rent, or
provide Redovar as a service to another organization
unless Redovar has agreed to that arrangement.
The software may change over time as Redovar adds,
improves, replaces, or removes features.
Customer accounts and administration
The Customer controls its Redovar organization.
The Customer chooses who may act as an Owner,
Director, Leadership user, Staff member, or another
available access level.
People with administrative access may be able to add
staff, change permissions, manage schedules, send
communications, manage devices, change organization
settings, view billing information, or perform other
actions available to their role.
The Customer is responsible for giving administrative
access only to people who are authorized to have it.
Redovar may rely on instructions given through an
authenticated Customer account unless we have reason
to believe the account has been compromised or the
instruction is unauthorized.
Staff and authorized users
The Customer may add staff and other authorized people
to Redovar.
The Customer is responsible for deciding who should be
added and what information or access each person
should receive.
Staff may use a Staff ID, PIN, Organization Code, or
another Redovar-supported method to access a Redovar
Device.
The Customer is responsible for distributing
credentials appropriately and for removing or changing
access when someone should no longer use Redovar.
If a credential is lost or compromised, it should be
reset rather than shared or reused insecurely.
Redovar Devices
Redovar Devices are managed hardware intended to run
Redovar.
A Redovar Device may be enrolled in a device-management
service and may be configured so that Redovar can
install software, apply settings, restrict
unauthorized use, manage security, check device
status, locate a device where enabled, and perform
other device-management functions.
The Customer should not remove or interfere with
Redovar software, management controls, security
settings, or other protections placed on a Redovar
Device unless Redovar authorizes it.
Technical identifiers such as serial numbers and
device-management identifiers may be used by Redovar
to identify and support a physical device.
The Customer-facing name of a device may be different
from its manufacturer serial number.
Device assignment and management
A Redovar Device may be assigned to an organization
and separately assigned to a staff member.
Those are different relationships.
A device assigned to the Customer belongs to that
Customer’s Redovar environment even when no staff
member is currently using it.
The Customer may assign a device to a staff member
through Redovar.
Where Redovar supports automatic assignment, an
authorized staff member signing in on an available
Redovar Device may cause that device to become
assigned to that person.
Redovar may prevent automatic reassignment when a
device is already assigned to someone else.
The Customer may release, reassign, or retire a device
where those controls are available.
Redovar may also perform device-management actions
when needed for fulfillment, support, security,
replacement, or another permitted operational
purpose.
Customer information
The Customer keeps ownership of the information it
provides to Redovar.
This may include staff information, schedules,
assignments, profile photos, maps, Sites, Locations,
Departments, Teams, Programs, requests, Emergency
information, device assignments, files, and other
information the Customer chooses to use in Redovar.
For a Camp, Customer information may also include
Camper rosters, birthdays, Units, Cabins, Programs,
responsible-Staff assignments, guardian and emergency
contacts, allergies, dietary restrictions,
medications, medication events, care instructions,
and private notes. Redovar keeps protected Camper
information separate from the general roster and
applies the Customer's configured roles, permissions,
and active assignments.
The Customer gives Redovar permission to host, store,
process, transmit, display, and otherwise handle that
information as needed to provide, secure, maintain,
and support Redovar.
Redovar does not gain ownership of Customer
information simply because it is stored in or
processed through the service.
The Customer is responsible for making sure it has the
legal right to provide the information it puts into
Redovar.
Privacy and security
Redovar will use reasonable administrative, technical,
and organizational measures intended to protect
Customer information.
Redovar uses controls such as authentication,
permissions, protected storage, encrypted network
connections, restricted server credentials, logging,
and separation between organizations.
The Customer is responsible for protecting its own
accounts, credentials, Staff IDs, PINs, Redovar
Devices, exports, and administrative access.
The Customer should notify Redovar promptly if it
believes an account or Redovar Device has been
compromised.
A Customer using Camper-care features must review who
can access guardian, emergency-contact, allergy,
dietary, medication, and private-note records; keep
Staff responsibility assignments current; and avoid
placing protected care details in general messages,
analytics, or other broad-access fields.
Our Privacy Policy explains how Redovar handles
personal information.
Where Redovar processes personal information on behalf
of the Customer, the parties may enter into an
additional data-processing agreement when required.
Confidentiality
Each party may receive nonpublic information from the
other while working together.
Confidential information includes information that is
identified as confidential or that a reasonable person
would understand should remain private because of its
nature or the circumstances in which it was disclosed.
Each party will use the other party’s confidential
information only as needed for the relationship
between them.
Each party will take reasonable care to protect that
information and will disclose it only to people,
advisers, contractors, or service providers who need
it and are required to protect it.
Confidential information does not include information
that becomes public without a breach of this
Agreement, was already lawfully known, is
independently developed without using the other
party’s confidential information, or is lawfully
received from someone else without a confidentiality
obligation.
If disclosure is required by law, the receiving party
may disclose the required information and, where
legally permitted, will give the other party
appropriate notice.
Fees and payment
The Customer will pay the amounts shown in each
accepted order.
Hardware and software may be priced separately.
A Redovar Device purchase may be a one-time hardware
charge while Redovar software is billed as a recurring
subscription.
Unless an order says otherwise, prices do not include
applicable taxes, duties, shipping charges, or similar
government charges.
The Customer is responsible for taxes associated with
its purchase except taxes based on Redovar’s net
income.
Payments may be processed through Stripe or another
payment provider.
The Customer agrees to keep its billing information
current.
If an invoice or payment becomes overdue, Redovar may
retry payment, contact the Customer, suspend affected
paid Services where permitted, or take another action
allowed under this Agreement.
Subscription term and renewal
The Customer’s software subscription begins on the
date stated in the order or when the subscription is
activated.
Unless an order says otherwise, a Redovar subscription
renews annually.
A renewal will use the pricing and terms applicable to
the subscription at that time, subject to any notice
Redovar is required to provide.
The Customer may cancel renewal through the available
billing process or another method stated in the
applicable order.
Cancellation normally stops the next renewal. It does
not automatically refund amounts already paid unless
the applicable order, law, or another Redovar policy
provides otherwise.
Device capacity
A Redovar subscription may include a maximum number of
active Redovar Devices.
The applicable capacity is shown in the Customer’s
plan or order.
The Customer may purchase additional Redovar Devices
without changing its subscription if the additional
devices remain within its existing capacity.
If additional devices would place the Customer above
its current capacity, the Customer may need to move to
a higher plan or another agreed capacity before those
devices can become active.
Redovar may prevent a downgrade that would place the
Customer below the number of active devices currently
associated with the account.
A properly retired replacement device does not need to
increase the Customer’s active-device capacity simply
because another physical device replaces it.
Shipping and delivery
The Customer will provide accurate shipping
information when ordering Redovar Devices.
Delivery estimates are estimates unless Redovar
expressly agrees to a guaranteed delivery date in
writing.
Shipping may be affected by carriers, customs,
suppliers, weather, shortages, or circumstances
outside Redovar’s reasonable control.
The Customer should inspect a delivery within a
reasonable time after it arrives and tell Redovar
promptly if devices are missing, damaged, or
materially different from the order.
Title to hardware and risk of loss will pass as stated
in the applicable order. If the order does not address
this, Redovar will provide the applicable shipping
terms before fulfillment where required.
Hardware support and replacement
Redovar may provide hardware support, replacement
options, warranty coverage, or other device support
according to the terms that apply to the specific
Redovar Device.
The Product Lifetime Policy explains Redovar’s general
approach to supporting hardware over time.
A newer Redovar Device does not automatically require
the Customer to replace an older supported device.
If a device is lost, damaged, retired, replaced, or no
longer supported, Redovar may update the device record
and active-device count accordingly.
A replacement may require the original device to be
retired, returned, disabled, or otherwise removed from
active use.
Replacement price, availability, shipping, warranty
coverage, and return requirements may vary depending
on the circumstances and the device involved.
Support and availability
Redovar will provide support through the channels we
make available to Customers.
We work to keep Redovar available and functioning
properly, but no online service or connected device
can be guaranteed to operate without interruption.
Redovar may be affected by maintenance, internet
access, Wi-Fi, power, hardware conditions, software
errors, service-provider interruptions, security
events, or other circumstances outside our reasonable
control.
Some features may continue to work with limited
connectivity, but offline use has limits.
Unless the Customer has a separate written
service-level commitment, Redovar does not guarantee a
specific uptime percentage or response time.
Emergency and safety use
Redovar includes features intended to help
organizations communicate and coordinate during urgent
situations.
Redovar does not replace 911, emergency services, law
enforcement, medical care, required radios,
professional judgment, staff supervision, or the
Customer’s own safety procedures.
The Customer should not rely on Redovar as its only
method of emergency communication.
A message, acknowledgement, location update, request,
or Emergency alert may be delayed or unavailable
because of connectivity, power, hardware, software, or
another condition.
The Customer remains responsible for its safety plans,
emergency procedures, staff training, supervision, and
decisions.
When emergency services are needed, they should be
contacted directly.
Redovar ownership
Redovar owns or licenses the software, technology,
designs, documentation, trademarks, branding, and
other materials that make up Redovar.
This Agreement does not transfer ownership of those
materials to the Customer.
The Customer receives only the rights necessary to use
Redovar as described in this Agreement and the
applicable order.
The Customer may not copy, resell, sublicense, reverse
engineer, or commercially exploit Redovar except where
expressly permitted by Redovar or applicable law.
Nothing in this section changes the Customer’s
ownership of its own information.
Customer responsibilities
The Customer is responsible for how it uses Redovar.
That includes:
-
choosing authorized users;
-
maintaining accurate account and organization
information;
-
protecting accounts and credentials;
-
managing staff access;
-
providing required notices and obtaining required
permissions;
-
using Redovar Devices responsibly;
-
maintaining suitable internet or Wi-Fi access where
required;
-
following applicable laws;
-
keeping its own safety and emergency procedures;
-
reviewing Redovar settings and assignments;
-
notifying Redovar of suspected misuse or security
problems.
Redovar is not responsible for decisions made by the
Customer or its staff simply because Redovar was used
as part of their work.
Suspension
Redovar may temporarily restrict or suspend access
when reasonably necessary to protect the Customer,
Redovar, another organization, a Redovar Device, or
the Services.
We may also suspend affected Services for serious
misuse, a security risk, unpaid amounts, violation of
this Agreement, or when required by law.
Where practical and appropriate, we will try to give
the Customer notice before suspension and an
opportunity to address the issue.
In urgent security or safety situations, Redovar may
act before giving notice.
Termination
This Agreement begins when the Customer accepts it and
continues while an order or Customer subscription
remains active.
Either party may terminate this Agreement if the other
party materially breaches it and does not correct the
breach within a reasonable cure period after receiving
notice, unless the breach cannot reasonably be cured.
An order may contain a specific notice or cure period.
If it does, that period controls.
Redovar may terminate immediately where continued
service would violate law or create a serious security
risk.
Ending this Agreement does not remove payment
obligations or other responsibilities that arose
before termination.
Terms that reasonably need to continue after
termination will remain in effect, including
provisions concerning payment, confidentiality,
ownership, liability, disputes, and information that
must lawfully be retained.
Warranties
Redovar will provide the Services with reasonable
care.
However, technology, networks, hardware, and
third-party services cannot be guaranteed to work
perfectly at all times.
Except for warranties expressly stated in an order,
hardware warranty, or other written agreement, and to
the extent allowed by law, Redovar is provided “as is”
and “as available.”
Redovar does not promise that the Services will always
be uninterrupted, completely error-free, or compatible
with every environment, network, or third-party
system.
Nothing in this Agreement removes a warranty or
consumer right that applicable law does not allow the
parties to exclude.
Indemnity
The Customer will be responsible for third-party
claims arising from Customer information, the
Customer’s unlawful use of Redovar, or the Customer’s
violation of another person’s rights, to the extent
those claims were caused by the Customer and
applicable law allows this responsibility.
Redovar will be responsible for third-party claims
that the Redovar software, when used as permitted
under this Agreement, directly infringes another
party’s intellectual-property rights, subject to the
limitations and procedures stated in any applicable
order or written agreement.
A party seeking protection under this section must
notify the other party reasonably promptly and allow
that party appropriate control of the defense or
settlement, subject to reasonable cooperation.
Neither party may agree to a settlement that requires
the other party to admit wrongdoing or accept a
material obligation without that party’s consent.
Limits on liability
If an accepted order contains a negotiated liability
limit, that limit controls for the matters it covers.
Where no separate liability limit applies, neither
party will be liable to the other for indirect,
incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential
damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost
business opportunities, or loss of data, to the extent
those limits are permitted by law.
Any overall monetary liability limit should be stated
in the applicable order or other written commercial
terms between Redovar and the Customer.
Nothing in this Agreement limits liability that
applicable law does not allow the parties to limit.
Changes to the Agreement
This agreement may change over time.
Redovar may update this Agreement as our products,
business, or the laws that apply to us change.
When we update it, we will change the effective date
shown at the top of the document.
If a change materially affects an active Customer’s
rights or paid use of Redovar, we will provide
additional notice when required by law or the
applicable order.
A negotiated or signed Customer Agreement will not be
changed merely by posting a new online version unless
that agreement specifically allows it.
Governing terms
An order may state the governing law, venue, dispute
process, notice requirements, or other terms that
apply to the Customer relationship.
If those terms are included in an accepted order or
separately signed agreement, they control.
Before Redovar publishes this Agreement as a final
binding contract, the default governing law, venue,
dispute process, and legal identity of the Redovar
contracting entity should be stated here if they are
not supplied through every order.
Neither party may transfer this Agreement without the
other party’s consent, except that Redovar may
transfer it as part of a merger, acquisition,
corporate reorganization, or sale of substantially all
of the relevant business or assets.
If one provision of this Agreement cannot legally be
enforced, the rest of the Agreement remains in effect.
A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that
right.
This Agreement together with accepted orders and any
documents expressly incorporated into it forms the
agreement between Redovar and the Customer concerning
the products and services it covers.
